Last year I didn’t do to well at keeping up with my photo a day… but since I’m not going to have to deal with my husband going off on a 6 month deployment this year I’m going to have another go at it for 2008.

I was hoping to get the Lightroom plugin installed and figured out before posting this but it hasn’t happened yet… so will probably go back and fix this post when it is set up.

Today we took down the Christmas tree and this was one of the new ornaments for Christmas 2007… I thought it also was cute for the New Year’s Celebration. Happy New Year everyone!

Watched the 2nd Contribute tutorial by Terry White and have now learned how to insert some custom html in contribute.. it is quite interesting… yet another Adobe program for me to figure out.

I’ve done some customization of the sidebar – still playing around with it. I think I’ve figured out what each of the php template files do – I haven’t customized them all yet but least I have an idea as to what is available.

I’m trying out a library plugin called now-reading which allows what books I’m currently reading to be displayed. I’ve only done a little customization to the ‘sidebar.php’ of its templates so even more php files to figure out and style.

I wanted one that would do a currently listen to however I couldn’t find a plug-in I liked so playing around with just a “CurrentMusic” div and links from amazon associates… Not sure how annoying that is going to be in keeping up…

Next project is to work some more on the library and do some customization in there and I also want to download and play around with Lightbox2 a bit…

This past fall I joined some other members on the  NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) board in doing a doodle from start to finish. This blog was one of my oringal blogs on mySpace and I’m now posting it here… I haven’t worked on it since Sept…

Here is the starting doodle… it is all via imagination… I have recently watched Memoirs of the Geshia so it was an influence… movie wasn’t bad as a movie but the book was much better…

Filled out a bit of the color in the second one and that was the status as of 31 July.

Snapshot 3 is from 1 August.

Worked a bit more on the bridge on the right and the water… still playing around with different brushes etc trying to get textures and tones I want.
