NAPP Battle Week 141

Here is this weeks starting image.

There were some really great images this week on NAPP and that made it a bit harder to think out of the box and come up with something different. Here is what I eventually came up with.

Reamonn: Reamonn

Ever since my friend Nina introduced me to the German band “Poems for Laila” I’ve checked out various German bands. One of my favorite finds on amazon.de was the band Reamonn… Their 5th studio album was just released and I recieved my copy yesterday. I think it is my favorite of theirs so far – even better than “Beautiful Sky”. This is such a great band, I’m really surprised they haven’t managed to break into the US yet – perhaps they just don’t want to… The lead singer is Irish and the songs are all in English.

If you are interested in checking out some of their songs, they have several posted on their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/reamonncom Through the Eyes of a Child is from their lastest album “Reamonn”

Only a few flowers left outside with the temperatures dropping to right around the freezing mark at night. Here is one of the last of the mums..

I also posted an image from our trip to the orchard on the 1st. It was the last weekend to pick apples at the orchard and we managed to get Cameo, Rome and Ida Reds. Love just eating the Cameos. This tree is a Rome. I thought it was interesting with the bulge at the bottom. Looks like it has been grafted.

Photo a Day

Back in January I made a New Year’s resolution to try to keep up with the photo-a-day on pBase… I didn’t make it too far… Figured I’d start trying again in hopes I can keep it up while Mike has to travel next year…

This is one of the last leaves on our weeping cherry tree out front. I love the colors these leaves turn.

Interesting observation from saving this in Photoshop CS4 – the Save for Web is supposed to give you options as to how much metadata you want left on the image – no mater what I chose, it stripped it all so apparently there is a bug there somewhere.
