Flowers

I noticed the last couple of days that I’ve taken photos that my sensor had various ‘ick’ on it… so spent the early afternoon cleaning my sensor and then took a couple shots with my 50mm f/1.4. This is just a pot of flowers on the deck that seem to be blooming profusely.

Still Blooming

I bought this annual in the spring and it has been wonderful with blossoms through out the summer and even now as we are fully into fall… Most of the leaves are off the trees now and it has been hitting the 30s at night so I don’t expect these to hang around much longer…

Candlelight

Things have been crazy around here with various work, volunteer and other projects… throw in a kid sick with the flu and having issues at school… mix with the extras of losing my keys (recycling them in the paper trash actually) and having the portable basketball system blow over in the wind and shatter the backboard… sanity??? What’s that? I’ve been a bit frustrated with not having time or energy to go out and find something to photograph and have decided I should just find things around the house… might not be terribly exciting but at least I get to use the camera…

Want to Play Hide the Ball in the Leaves?

My son has grown out of the habit of jumping into the pile of raked leaves mostly because he realizes that it bothers his allergies and makes it hard to breathe… Sandal on the other hand has no hesitation to jump into the pile and lay down. She especially likes tossing the ball in herself and then tearing apart the pile to find it. Does the same with snow… She loves the fall and winter but isn’t as fond of the summer. I think it is because she gets too warm with all the fur..
