Progress on working the logo in Illustrator…
Each year I do up the logo for our local auction to support the Dolphin Scholarship. This years’ auction committee decided on a luau theme. So I did a quick pencil sketch of an idea, scanned it in and then worked on it in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool to create each item and then duplicating layers that needed weighted strokes (dolphins, submarine, flower) so I could cut the paths making more definition/detail on the items.

It has been quite a while since I’ve worked on this. It has been sitting on my desktop but haven’t had a chance to work with it up until tonight… and now it is almost spring… though my cherry blossoms have yet to bloom and no butterflies yet…
The lower right butterfly is still MUCH darker than the others but haven’t quite figured out how to balance it yet… it is the victim of random playing with each…
