The velvet was downloaded from stock-xchange… the starting image was inverted and converted to b/w using a b/w adjuetment layer. The buterfly on the face is from a battle a couple years ago… the flowers come from a custom brush and the small butterflies are just the same little tear shaped jem arranged… the color on the lips comes from a hue/sat adjustment layer set to color…

And my creation from it.
Several parts of my image were created from scratch such as the dragonfly’s body, the center lotus blossom, and the peach colored border. The glass for these was done using the Rough Pastels’ Filter (Filters >Artistic > Rough Pastels) and a texture called “Blistered Paint” which is on the “Goodies and Extra’s” CD for CS3.
The dragonfly itself was drawn using the pen tool. The head was copied from the bottom of the original image and then warped slightly. The center red spot on the body also came from the orginal image as did the glass textures in the wings. I just painted the lotus, on hindsight I probably should have used the pen tool on that as well…
I’ve missed the past 4 battles due to various other activities… So today I decided to combine the images from Battles 111-115 all into one image which I’ve named “The Blue Fuzz Twins”…
The Blue Fuzz Twins are so happy that their parents got rid of that old junky car in their backyard… now they can sit at the table (w/ the odd spedometer tablecloth), eat grapes and try to figure out how to get their kite out of the palm tree…
