Doodle from Start to Finish

This past fall I joined some other members on the  NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) board in doing a doodle from start to finish. This blog was one of my oringal blogs on mySpace and I’m now posting it here… I haven’t worked on it since Sept…

Here is the starting doodle… it is all via imagination… I have recently watched Memoirs of the Geshia so it was an influence… movie wasn’t bad as a movie but the book was much better…

Filled out a bit of the color in the second one and that was the status as of 31 July.

Snapshot 3 is from 1 August.

Worked a bit more on the bridge on the right and the water… still playing around with different brushes etc trying to get textures and tones I want.

Update 4August07

Here’s an update to where painting is… I only got to work on it a bit today – yesterday I was a bit distracted by driving up to Boston to see Bryan Adams in concert 😉 Great show btw!! I have one photo in Pics and will post more and probably a blog later on….

So on the painting I’ve worked more on the bridge, the rock and the water… I’m quite happy with the waterfall at this point need to work a bit more at the bottom though and also where it is dirverting over the rocks in the one spot…

Update 10August07

It has been rainy and cold today (was in the upper 80s yesterday and today only got to 62… ) so spent some time working on this… Still need to work some more on the still water – not quite happy with it yet…

I really didn’t like the water above so I’ve played with it some more… bit happier with the colors now… though now they might be a bit too bright…

Update 17August07

Have been trying to figure out what is going to go on in the background of the painting… This is still quite rough but I think it is what I’m going to go with…

Update 2September07

The end of August turned out to be quite heckit between having a sick dog and getting my son ready for school… I didn’t have a chance to work on this at all… Did manage to do some today… still not sure about several regions of it…. but I guess it will work itself out eventually…

Update 21September07

Still working on this a bit more… I want to put a couple bugs in it probably a dragonfly or two and perhaps a butterfly also thought of putting in a girl standing at the railing of the bridge… But it is getting there.

My mom had some art skill, and I have taken a try at art, But you have gone to levels and skills that are amazing. You amaze me with everything you do with art, drawing and photography. This site “Connie’s Ramblings” is really neat.
