My Grandmother used to grow these every year in the planters along a cinder block wall. There would be hundreds of them in a variety of colors and we would go out and pick them to put in a vase to sit on the dinner table. We also went out and collected the pea pods so they could be used for the next years’ plants.
This year I decided to try to start some from seeds I had bought at the local garden shop. They don’t seem to do as well in CT as they used to in my Grandmother’s garden in AZ.
