This was the September SOSA 2009 book club book…
Much more enjoyable than the last book we read. The book is about 11 girls from Ames, Iowa who have managed to remain friend since high school.
It was interesting to read about their ups and downs in life and how their friendship has effected their lives. It was also interesting to read the modern statistics that many girls of today do not have the same bonding as the girls of 30 years ago.
My only real criticism of the book was that the book was written by a newspaper columnist and while enjoyable I did often feel as if each chapter was more of it’s own weekly column than successive chapters in a book.
