I’ve wanted to read this book since reading about it on the NY Times bestseller list as well as Elle and Costco reviews. I found it on Overdrive and downloaded it for my kindle… I’m trully loving the kindle…

A really enjoyable story by a first time writer in which two magicians with differing lines of training train two young children for a challenge. The challenge which is like yet not like chess takes place in a magical circus that appears out of no where and it only open at night.

“The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.”

Unbeknownst to the circus visitors, Ceclia and Marco take turns creating magical tents for the circus to show their skill and imgination… “People see what they wish to see. And in most cases, what they are told that they see.” Unfortunately, the rules of the challenge mean that only one of them can live at the end of it and creating their masterpieces, they have fallen in love and other lives are at stake on the chess board that is the circus.
