Great book. Reminded me a bit of the Historian…
The last half was hard to put down and it was frustrating to find out it was only leading up to a sequel which isn’t even heard of as of yet… but it will be a series I will be looking forward to continuing.
Diana is a historian and a witch who has tried all her life to supress her witchcraft… while at Oxford preparing for a lecture, she calls up a mysterious book that has been misisng for years. She is then followed and threatened by several vampires, deamons and fellow witches who all want to get ahold of the manuscript. The on vampire, Matthew, becomes very protective of Diana as they try to figure out the significance of the achemlist text.
